The BEST kid-friendly activities to do in Durham, NC this winter!

It’s that time of year! The temperature drops and we all start looking for ways to entertain our kids without going mad while we’re stuck at home! Durham has some great things to do this time of year to help you take a break from the cooped-up crazy train that is wintertime with kids!

  • BEST place to visit Santa with your kids?! 100% is at Bass Pro Shop! Short lines! Activities to do while you are there! AND they give you a printed picture right there FOR FREE!!!! AND they let you take your own pictures! AND you get a free little display board to clip your photos to take home! Seriously, I can’t rave about it enough! (Go on a weekday!) It’ll be the best decision you make all season! Click here for all the details!

  • Santa Train at The Museum of Life and Science! This is a yearly activity for many families! The museum opens late for a night of lights, activities, and of course, the train to visit Santa! Tickets actually go on sale on November 6th! https://www.lifeandscience.org/

    • Even if you don’t do the Santa Train the Museum is AMAZING for activities all year round! Memberships really do pay for themselves within only 2 visits! It’s definitely worth it!

    • through the lights (which are great btw!) and they even have fire pits where you can roast marshmallows! It’s a ton of fun! http://www.hillridgefarms.com/

    • Trampoline parks are a fun way to get out some of the kid energy somewhere indoors. At Defy Gravity in Durham they even have Kid Jump Time on Mon-Friday from 9am-12pm! Parents get in free and it is ONLY kids ages 6 and under! Great for the littles! http://www.defygravity.us/durham
